From Diana Hermann
In this first photo (the black & white one), I am the person in the foreground. Jenny Doble (Buds youngest daughter) is on the left this photo was prior to her patrolling days, but she did become a patroller and a paid one at that. In back of me on the right hand side, there are two other Posties who were also patrolling in that year: Mary Jane Hammel and Bill Littlefield.
Mike Hathaway and I are in the foreground while Bill Littlefield is behind me (Mike was also a patroller).
Both of these were taken during the 1974-75 ski season which was my first season on the patrol (gad, I am an old fart!... of course I was only a junior patroller, but still
.. Steph joined the patrol the same year as me as did Ken Maloney). During that season, a film crew was producing a film on Post 53 (part of the Boy Scouts it is a group out of Darien, CT that runs an ambulance). A number of kids from Post 53 became patrollers because Bud Doble, the adviser of the Post, was in charge of Strattons Junior Ski Patrol. Peter Fabbri is the only other Postie left, but you probably remember Sue Yarrow, she was one too, as were Peters sister and my brother Conrad. The film on the Post included footage of those of us who patrolled at Stratton I believe the film was entitled Prepared to Care and was produced by/for Johnson & Johnson. A number of still pictures were taken at that time as well & I was provided with copies of two pictures that included me (I believe they were both provided by the same person -- I have a note from someone named Roger from Riverside Productions Inc.).
